    Michael Lesousky’s upcoming release of his first solo EP, “Deep Shade of Blue”, showcases the singer-songwriter style he has made for himself that ebbs and flows with distinct sounds of country, blues, and folk. The 7-track EP is an independent release that, according to Lesousky, aims to “move the listener to a steeper depth of emotion whether it’s joy or sadness-- or something in between.”

    More than just a beginning display of Lesousky’s musical identity, the record tells a distinct story of Michael moving to Athens, GA to be with his love and the array of emotions that came along with discovering himself as an artist and individual on the way. The simplicity of the record, which only contains guitar and vocals, allows for vulnerability and brutal honesty in the form of enchanting, haunting songs that still hold lingering hope. As Lesousky says about, “Deep Shade of Blue”; “It’s a journey into hope and out of despair.”

lyrics

Looking for answers in this lonesome pine
Trying to negotiate with someone else's mind
Is like I’m trying to cut a deal with the devil himself
The clock strikes twelve, The train is headed straight to hell

Don't walk away, Don't walk away
Don't walk away, Don’t walk away
Till you tell me why you gotta go

You’re faster than a fox running through the vines
You’re sadder than a story in the New York Times
Slow down, I have a couple of questions for you
What did I do? Tell what did I do to you?

//CHORUS//
//SOLO//

Is it something that I said? Is it something that I've done?
Double talk is twice as much and half as much as some
Don't walk away I know it's hard for me to say
Don’t leave me here to stumble through the darkness alone

//CHORUS//
